This session showcases innovative applications of AI in legal practice. Participants will learn how AI tools are being deployed to streamline legal processes, provide legal information to underserved communities, and identify individuals who qualify for legal assistance. Through real-world case studies of AI deployed in legal practice, attendees will explore both the tremendous potential and necessary guardrails of using AI in the practice of law, with practical lessons for implementing similar programs in their jurisdictions.

Understand how AI technologies are being successfully deployed to improve access to justice, with specific examples including automated document preparation, legal information delivery, and service matching systems

Evaluate the opportunities and limitations of AI in serving self-represented litigants and underserved communities, including considerations around accuracy and the irreplaceable role of human attorneys
