From Projects to Products
Too often, government technology work is organized around one-time projects: launch a system, close the contract, and move on. But residents’ needs, policy requirements, and service conditions continue to change after launch.
In this workshop, you will explore how public agencies can shift toward a product mindset focused on continuous improvement, user needs, and measurable public outcomes. You will learn what product management looks like in government and how teams can use feedback, data, and iteration to build services that keep improving over time.
Learning Goals
By the end of this workshop, participants will be able to:
- Distinguish between project-based and product-based approaches to government technology.
- Apply a product mindset centered on user needs, continuous improvement, and public outcomes.
- Identify practices teams can use to prioritize, measure, and improve digital services over time.
This workshop is part of an InnovateUS Series called : AI Insourcing and the Government Product Model
